Website hosting

This website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, a service provided by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. Cloudflare stores the website’s public files and delivers them through its global network. The service provides HTTPS delivery and helps maintain the website’s availability and protect it against attacks.

When you visit the website, Cloudflare processes technical connection and request data. This may include your IP address, the requested URL, the date and time of the request, browser and operating-system information, the referring page if your browser sends it, and traffic-routing and security information. These data are used to deliver the requested content, diagnose faults, and detect or prevent abusive traffic.

The legal basis for our use of this hosting service is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is the secure, reliable, and efficient provision of this website.

Cloudflare processes Customer Logs and website content on our behalf as a processor. RedCircle audio player

Podcast audio is hosted by RedCircle. A configured audio player is not loaded automatically. You must select Load audio player before this website requests the player from RedCircle’s api.podcache.net service. The player can then contact RedCircle and its audio-delivery providers. These requests may transmit connection information, including your IP address and browser information, and may involve the provider’s storage or measurement technologies.

Your choice is made separately for each player on each page visit. The website does not store a persistent audio-consent preference. Closing or reloading the page ends that player’s loaded state. Review RedCircle’s privacy policy (opens in a new tab) before loading it. The operator must review the provider’s current processing, any consent requirements, and the final embed behavior before launch.

If no valid show and episode identifiers have been configured, this website displays an audio availability message and makes no player request.

Theme preference

The theme control offers Light, System, and Dark. Your choice is stored in your browser’s local storage under tsjdev-podcast-theme for later visits and is not sent to the website operator by the application. System follows your device’s current color preference and updates when it changes. Without a saved choice, the website uses System. You can remove the preference through your browser’s site-data settings. If storage is unavailable, the switch still works for the current page.

Search, fonts, and analytics

Episode search runs in your browser using a small index served from this website. Search terms are not sent to a search provider. The website serves its fonts (Bricolage Grotesque, Source Sans 3, and DM Mono), CSS, JavaScript, and images locally. Viewing the website does not contact Google Fonts or another external font service. This implementation includes no analytics service, advertising tags, contact form, or newsletter integration. Links to the German developer blog, Medium, GitHub, and listening platforms take you to services with their own privacy policies. Merely displaying these links does not embed those services. If you contact the operator by email, the operator receives and processes the information you send to respond to your request.
